The first “Liveable House” approved by Mid Coast Council

A Winner in 2020 HIA-CSR Australian Housing Award “Custom Built Home” ($1.25-$2Million) Category for the Hunter Region.

Our lift is of course one of the major “talking points” about the house, and most people are amazed when they realise that the house actually has an elevator. For us, fortunately at this stage, it is more about taking the shopping (and wine) upstairs, but we do have elderly and disabled friends who would not be able to visit us if it was not for the elevator, so already it is one of “the best” assets of the house.

Of course, when we were moving into the house, it saved our backs and arms, and the removalists were highly impressed!!! With the level transition throughout the house, we could wheel the trolley straight into the lift with all the heavy boxes and furniture, and it also saved the stairs and glass balustrade from being marked and scratched whilst trying to balance bulky items. It’s a never-ending story about what a brilliant decision it was to incorporate a lift and about how easy Harwel made it for us, from the first day we came to visit you, selecting the decor thru to installation and the after-sales service. Dirk says you made it a transparent process, it’s affordable, there was no backwards and forwards, it was all handled very professionally and it could not have been a smoother process.

I’m sure you can tell that we are hugely delighted.
